Shillong, August 17: The former President of the FKJGP, Wellbirth Rani who has joined the United Democratic Party to be a part of the political scene in the state, he said that he is ready to contest the 2023 MLA election if the party sees fit to give him a ticket.
He said that his joining the UDP was not based on any agreement or any other conditional demand, but he joined the party to strengthen it, however he said that of the party needs him to contest in the election, he is ready to enter the field and prepared.
On being queried, he said that it is clear to all that he plans to contest the election from Mawphlang, and if the party sees him as fit the contest the election from Mawphlang constituency, but it will depend entirely on the decision and wisdom of the party.
