Shillong: A female arm wrestler of the State, today the 16th of August, 2022 came forward to seek monetary help from sports lovers to kindly help her with some monetary contribution so that she can represent the country at the arm wrestling competition to be held in Turkey.
The arm wrestler’s name is Irikmenlang Shabong who is originally from Sohïong but stays in Laimer, Upper Shillong.
Speaking with media persons,Serita Shabong, the arm wrestler’s mother said that as a mother she finds it difficult and at a dead end and therefore has come forward to the media so that they can help in having the government departments, headmen and friends hear her plea.
Further, Serita Shabong said that at an individual level she had tried to seek means on how to get the required amount of Rs.3 lakhs 20 thousand which as a mother she feels is a huge amount and cannot imagine how and where she can shell out the money from, and the only means she has now is to come and seek the help of the media so that the people can see and hear this request and may be they will come forward and help her daughter benevolently so that she reach her goal of competing in Turkey.
