SHILLONG, August 04: The National People’s Party (NPP) has approved the NPP Block of East Shillong constituency with Malcolm Tariang also joining the party at the gathering held today in the compound of the party office.
Malcolm Tariang, a Professor who is also a political leader from a regional party and who had also contested the MLA Election in the past joined the National People’s Party today where he and his supporters were welcomed by the National President, Conrad Sangma, the National Vice President, Prestone Tynsong and other leaders of the NPP.
Speaking at the gathering Malcolm Tariang said that he is a new member in the party but he expressed gratitude to the NPP Block of East Shillong especially Dr.M Ampareen Lyngdoh, incumbent MLA of the constituency for open heartedly accepting him in the party even though she herself is not yet formally joined the NPP till date, but in the coming days she will be together in the NPP.
