35 cattle intended to be smuggled to Meghalaya nabbed by police in Khetri


Following a tip received from reliable sources, the Khetri Police Station team today the 12th of July caught one truck during its search operation in NH 37 bearing registration number AS 25 AC 1265 with 35 cattle meant to be slaughtered for meat being smuggled into Meghalaya.

With regards to this matter, the Khetri Police arrested one Ekdil Hussain, 22 years of age with a case being registered against him. The police are conducting their investigation on this matter and an FIR has been filed on this matter.

Even though trade of cattle in Assam is restricted but smugglers of cattle to Meghalaya through other States is still continuing.
