Nongpoh, July 09: As per yesterday’s news report of the 5 suspended Congress MLAs not being invited to the meeting held for Droupadi Murmu seeking support for the Presidential election. Mayralborn Syiem,MLA of Nongpoh constituency clarified to news correspondents that it is not as per given in the news reports, but from his end as the MLA of Nongpoh constituency, he had been informed by party leaders of the BJP to attend the meeting held at Orchid, Umïam Ri-Bhoi District.
Mayralborn Syiem also informed that his failure to attend the meeting is due to the programmes and commitments in his constituency which he needed to attend to and complete.He also informed that he had been able to send his apologies for not attending the meeting due to duties he had complete in his constituency.
Furthermore, he said that even though he could not attend the meeting, from his side, he is ready to give his unconditional support to Droupadi Murmu in the Presidential election which will be held on the 18th of July.
