SHILLONG, June 21: The MDC of Rambrai-Jyrngam who is also a leader of the National People’s Party (NPP), Bajop Pyngrope has challenged the people or groups alleging of areas under Meghalaya being sold to Assam for Rs.2000 crores to come forward and present proof and evidences to prove the allegation.
He also warned the different Himas to be cautious of people taking advantage of them and intend to make money out of the Himas by pushing them to take legal action. He said that the matter to resolve the border issue is an initiative that the Government should be praised for because in the past 50 years no one had dared to look into this matter.
At the same time, Pyngrope also praised the Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma by stating that he is approachable and understanding and who had expressed clearly that there should be a desire to take on this matter.
