I have spoken with the CM of Assam that the incident in Mallang Salbari should not be repeated: Conrad

SHILLONG, May 25: The Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad Kongkal Sangma has reiterated clearly again that there will no no re-examination of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on the resolution of the border for the 6 sites of dispute in the first phase. Sangma said this in response to the query about the use of might by the Assam Police in Mallang Salbari which occured on Monday this week.

He informed that in connection with the incident he has order the police to conduct an investigation immediately and also informed that he has spoken with the Chief Minister of Assam who has assured that he will direct the police of his state to ensure that such incidents are not repeated.

Conrad Sangma said that he is ready to meet with any group demanding a re-examination of the MoU for a talk.
