SHILLONG, May 06: The Cabinet approved the External Aided Project for the Meghalaya Eco-Tourism Infrastructural Development Project.
The Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad Kongkal Sangma said that the external aid received from other countries is to be utilised for the creation of new tourist spots and to repair and preserve the existing ones.
He informed that this decision is as per the directive of the Central Government, because prior to the Central Government accepting the external aid for Meghalaya, the approval of the State Government Cabinet is necessary.
