SHILLONG, May 02: The Ministry of Education has expressed that it is ready to exempt the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) in Meghalaya, and this was informed by the Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad Kongkal Sangma who especially met with the Union Minister of Education, Dharmendra Pradhan over the implementation of the CUET.
Sangma who is Delhi at present has informed that he had expressed the challenges of the students and the institutions in the State, while also informing that Pradhan had agreed to relax the implementation of the Entrance Test, with students seeking admission in State Government Colleges and Private Colleges will not be required to appear for the CUET, and the State is awaiting a notification from the Ministry of Education on the same.
