KSU meets with Minister to ensure that students do not face problems if CUET is implemented

SHILLONG, April 28: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) met with the Minister incharge of the Department of Education, Lahkmen Rymbui for a discussion on the implementation of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), and specially that the students of the State do not lose out in any way.

Speaking with media persons, Raymond Kharjana who is the Chairman of the Education Cell of KSU said that the meeting with the Minister is only to ensure that the students of the State do not face any problem if the CUET is implemented, and the Government must take the responsibility for the students of the State.

He said that the organisation has got a promise from the Minister that he will do his best to help the students of the State. Kharjana also said that the organisation will also open up coaching classes on their YouTube channel to help the students of the State to compete in this exam.

On being asked, the KSU leader said that the organisation cannot say if the implementation of the CUET will be of benefit to the students or if it will lead to them losing out on opportunities, but the organisation wants the Government to ensure that it will of benefit for the students of the State.
