Following the sudden onslaught of hail and storm in Ri-Bhoi District area on the 14th of April, 2022 which brought about a lot of damages especially to people’s houses with the same incident occuring in Mawlasnai village also in which the house of Kong Rusha Shabong and Kong Bilanti Shabong met with the same fate when the strong winds destroyed their houses completely leaving them completely homeless.
The local village administrators and residents on the 16th of April came out in full force to rebuild the houses of these two families destroyed by the force of nature.
The Rangbah Dong, Stadlang Masharing expressed his gratitude to the residents who came forward to lend a helping hand and spared their precious time to rebuild the houses of fellow village dwellers and furthermore from his end he extended a special gratitude to the MDC of Mawhati who upon receiving the news of this natural disaster, came rushing to see to the needs and to help the victims, and contributing CGI sheets to these families who now have a house to protect them from heat and rain.
