SHILLONG, April 08: The former caption of the Indian Cricket Team, Mohammad Azharuddin said that it is important to provide all the necessary requirements in order to promote the game of cricket in Meghalaya, and added that if all the necessary requirements are provided them the youths will want to play the game.
He said that the Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) had turn its eyes towards helping the North-Eastern region in promoting the game of cricket, and added that now is only the beginning and may be in 2 to 3 years, Meghalaya can become one of the suitable places for the game of cricket because it has a pleasant climate.
Mohammad Azharuddin arrived in Meghalaya to witness the final match of the Challengers Cup 2022 which will be held tomorrow the 9th of April in the Cricket Ground, Polo.
