SHILLONG, April 05: Lahkmen Rymbui, member of the Regional Committee for Border Resolution with Assam, said that the decision to resolve the boundary was not taken by simply sitting in the Secretariat and the steps taken was as per what could be done.
Rymbui, a Minister in the MDA Government said that with regards to any matter, politics will enter when any thing right is done. He said that the issue has been pending for a very long time but this Government has tried to do the best it can,to resolve the issue.
On being asked, he said that he cannot say upto how much will be affected when they go back to the Government during the elections, for the Government when taking a decision, does so keeping in mind the welfare of everyone and not for any individual gain.
With regards to police outpost being instated, Rymbui who also is incharge of the Home Department said that the Government has moved forward in doing what is necessary for the safety and security the citizens of the State in the interstate border areas.
