The District Disaster Management Authority, WKHD in collaboration with the 1st Battalion, NDRF, Guwahati and SDRF yesterday the 31st march held a training programme on how to prepare and what should be done in the event of any disaster such as an earthquake, fire and any other natural disaster.
On this day the participants were also told about how they can help when such disasters occur.
The programme was held in Upper New Nongstoiñ in which P.D Sangma, Deputy Commissioner of West Khasi Hills District, H.G.Lyngdoh, Superintending of West Khasi Hills District, doctors and other officers also attended the training programme known as Mock Drill Exercise.
