Shillong: The POCSO Court is all set to pass a judgement and sentence on the perpetrator charged with raping two sisters in one police station in South West Garo Hills.
As per reports, this incident took place in the year 2013, in which it was alleged that one police personnel holding the post of Officer was involved in this act in the police station in 2013, and after thorough court proceedings and process, the Court on Monday, the 28th of March will pass its judgement on this incident.
Evalarisha Rynjah, Special Public Prosecutor, POCSO Court said that from her end she has demanded that for such an act, the convict must be sentenced with life imprisonment along with a fine.
The preparation on the sentence by the Court comes after evidences proved that Nurul Islam committed this crime which falls under the POCSO Act,2012 of the IPC Act.
As a reminder, it is alleged that Islam raped the two sisters,one 14 years of age then in Ampati Police Station on the 13th and 14th of March, 2013 and on the 31st of March,2013 it is alleged that Islam raped the elder sister who was 17 years of age then which prompted the father of the two sisters to file an FIR against Islam who at that time was the Officer-in-charge of this police station.
