The price of petrol has risen for the first time today with the last time being 137 days ago on the 4th of November,2021.
All over India, the price of petrol and diesel increased by 0.80 paisa. In Shillong today, the price of petrol went up to ₹94.68 per litre and diesel was up to ₹81.28 per litre.
The price of an LPG Cylinder was increased by ₹50 per cylinder.
One of the reason for the increase in the prices of petrol and diesel is due to the war between Russia and Ukraine which has affected the crude oil market all over the world. Even though Russia has made the offer to sell crude oil to India at a cheaper rate but till now the transaction could not be completed as these countries are trying to find a means of carrying forward the trade in an acceptable currency for India and Russia without having to use the Dollar.
