Mawkyrwat, March19: The Office of the District Commissioner SWKHD on the 19th of March observed the National and World Consumer Right Day in the Multipurpose Hall D.C Office, Laitlawsang with Smti.C Kharkongor,IAS, Deputy Commissioner SWKHD was the Chief Guest. On this knowledge and awareness about the special day were delivered by Shri.P.K Snaitang, Superintendent Supply (SS), Nongstoiñ, Shri.F.B Khongnoh,Sub-Inspector(SI) Supply of SWKHD with many locality youth organisations of Mawkyrwat and fair price shops dealers from different villages and other elder members of the area attending the programme.
On this day, the speakers spoke on the ePOS, NFSA, BIS for the right of the people and how they should be aware of the rights of the consumers while purchasing any essential item or other necessary items such as being aware about that the seller should not sell the product above the marked price and they also be cautious and carefully check the food items for the expiry dates as provided by the manufacturer so as to avoid any harmful effect on the health of the consumers, and if any shopkeeper or shops are found to misuse or violate this then the consumers can file a complaint with proper evidence for the law to take its course.
