The Hills State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) today held a special meeting to deliberate on the matter relating to the Hill State Movement volunteers who could not attend the felicitation programme held by the party for all the volunteers in the past few months.
With regards to this matter, it is said that the HSPDP by any means cannot forget the people of the community who had been part in the achievement of Statehood, therefore for them, the party will soon hold another felicitation programme as had been done for the others.
It was further stated that the fighters and warriors for Statehood who were imprisoned for many times, are in the right to be felicitated for if it was not for them then perhaps there would not have been a separate state still.
The meeting was held in the office of the HSPDP, Nongstoiñ in the presence of K.P.Pangngiang, President HSPDP, Central body and Tliding Wanñiang one of the fighters and soldiers of the Hill State Movement.
