Umsong Sports Club yesterday the 5 of March 2022 concluded the 1st League Football Tournament held at Umsong Ground, Ri-Bhoi District and the Tournament was held through the sponsorship of FKJGP Umsong Circle.
The champion of the tournament was Eagle FC Patharkhmah after defeating Umrit SC by 2-1.
With this championship, Eagle FC took home the cash prize of ₹10,000 along with the winners trophy while Umrit SC took home the cash prize of ₹5000 along with the runner-up trophy.
Prominent members who came and witnessed the final match were Eldee Newton Lyngdoh, Vice President,Central Body, Luistar Lyngdoh, President,North Khasi Hills District amongst others.
The final match was actually supposed to have been held in 2021, however due to the onslaught of the Covid-19 pandemic, the final match had be postponed and was finally held yesterday.
