SENG KHASI COLLEGE HEARTILY RECEIVES COMPUTERS DONATED BY ADELBERT NONGRUM

Shillong: Today, the 3rd of March,2022, Seng Khasi College,Jaiaw, Shillong heartily received computers donated by the MLA of 17 North Shillong Constituency, Adelbert Nongrum.

The donation of computers was received in a function held in the Hall of the College in which Adelbert Nongrum handed them over to the College in the presence of the Secretary of the College, Richard H.Dkhar, Principal, Wandur Basan Rynjah and also the teaching and non-teaching staff of the College.

Speaking as the Chief Guest at this function, Nongrum extended his best wishes to the Principal, members of the Governing Body, the teaching staff for giving their body and soul in their service to plan, design and mould a bright future ahead for the future generations.

Nongrum expressed his best wishes specially to all present at the function for their encouragement to him as a representative, who has tried for himself to be not only a representative but to be also a leader.

Nongrum said that in actuality, the scheme for this work has not been sanctioned yet, however close friends of his have made it possible for them to be distributed sooner, while also stating that it does not end here but more will be distributed also in other parts of the constituency under him.

Besides this, Nongrum expressed that the onslaught of Covid-19 has greatly affected the country and the world overall, in so much more so in the education sector, however the emergence of the online age has been a blessing for the students and the teachers who have given body and soul amidst the many different challenges even as successive governments have time after time failed to provide them with necessary requirements.

The welcome address was delivered by the Principal of the College, Wandur Basan Rynjah followed by a speech from the Secretary of the College, Richard H.Dkhar with the vote of thanks delivered by Syrpailin Wanning while the function was conducted by Malcolm Lyngdoh.
