Jowai: Today the President of Seiñraij,Jowai, O.R Challam inaugurated the tourist cab service from Jowai to Shillong and Guwahati which will start operating from tomorrow the 1st March,2022.
The inauguration function was held at the Jowai- Shillong Tourist Cab Stand in Police Point and conducted by President of the Jowai-Shillong, Tourist Cab Association,Jowai, Guwahati, A. Pohshna in the presence also of the Secretary of the locality L.Laloo, President of All Jaiñtia Commercial Vehicles Association,Paila Kordor Lyngkot and the drivers of the tourist cabs as well as others with O.R.Challam as the Chief Guest of the function.
Challam in his speech urged the Tourist Cab drivers to be honest and charge the due fares without taking undue advantage of passengers irrespective of where they are from.
As per the statement of the leaders of Seng Jowai Shillong Guwahati Tourist Cab Association, Jowai,West Jaiñtia Hills District, it has been informed that the Tourist Cab Stand from Jowai is instated in the property of Seiñraij Jowai, Police Point( alongside Shillong Stand), while from Guwahati, the tourist cab stand is in Paltan Bazar, ASTC Complex(alongside Shillong Tourist Cab Stand) and the fare is fixed at ₹600 (six hundred) per passenger.
