Pertaining to the current situation in the recruitment process in government offices of the district through the District Selection Committee of Ri-Bhoi District, Ri-Bhoi Youth Development & Social Organization (RBYDSO) through its President, Arnold Syngkli on the 25th of February, with much concern filed a petition and submitted it to the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Ri-Bhoi District in which he stated that the youths of Ri-Bhoi are denied jobs in other districts while also stating that he has all the proofs to ascertain the statement.
On this matter, the organization informed the Additional Deputy Commissioner and also urged upon the Deputy Commissioner who is also Chairman of the District Selection Committee (DSC) to give first preferences to the youths from different parts of the district while clarifying that this is not at all meant to create a rift amongst the citizens of the state but that it is a reservation policy followed in all respective districts and in Ri-Bhoi District many youths with different educational qualifications are still unemployed.
