The farmers from Rangphlang and Mawslang faced problems following the shutdown of the ropeway and having to depend on their physical strength in transporting their produce to the markets. The farmers of the area said that it takes them up to 2 hours to transport their farm produce from Rangphlang to Lumheh- Laitkyrhong.
They further expressed that they have also met with problems in the event of anyone falling ill and till now they have no idea as to what caused a permanent shut down of the ropeway. The farmers request the higher authorities and the Government to help them in alleviating this problem by reopening and operating the ropeway again so that it will help ease the farmers in transporting their produce from Rangphlang village.
