SHILLONG, February 23: The joining of many public representatives such as MDCs and former MLAs with the National People’s Party (NPP) is continuing today as well with Grace Mary Kharpuri, MDC of Nongskhen, Fantin Joseph Lakadong,MDC of Malki-Laitumkhrah and W.L Mynsong,former MDC of Jirang fully committing themselves to the NPP.
At the gathering to welcome the MDCs held at the party office , the MDCs were warmly welcomed by the National President and also Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad Kongkal Sangma in the presence of the National Vice President, Prestone Tynsong and Sniawbhalang Dhar besides other party functionaries and MLAs of the NPP.
Speaking at the gathering, the 3 new members of the NPP applauded the party and its leaders for being ever ready to listen and always united.
Conrad Kongkal Sangma in his speech delivered on this day expressed his happiness at the representatives from different parts of the State joining the party in which he also stated that the party works on the basis of its well set ideology and the cooperation of leaders as all members in the party are special and important.
The National President of the NPP also spoke a few words in Khasi at the gathering,”Ka NPP kan jop marwei ha u snem ban wan, bad donkam ban trei shitom”, a proclamation which translates to the NPP will be the single largest majority party in the coming year and hard work is required.
