Jowai: Nehemayah Tyngkan today while speaking with media persons announced that he has decided to contest again in the Assembly Election in 2023 from 4- Mookaïaw constituency.
It may reminded here that Tyngkan had contested the Assembly Election in 2018 as a Congress candidate but he did not succeed in reaching his goal, however with strong faith he has decided to once again contest in the upcoming Assembly Election in 2023.
As a candidate, he has expressed his desire to contest again in this Election so that he can provide the best service to public in the region as a whole and has urged especially the youths, elders, men and women of 4-Mookaïaw constituency to extend their full support to him this time.
He said that if growth and development were to be taken into account then 4-Mookaïaw constituency is amongst the most least developed when compared with other constituencies in West Jaiñtia Hills District whether it be in health, education, agriculture,tourism, sports or any other sectors.
Furthermore, he said that he is saddened to know that at present the constituency does not have a proper government school upto the Higher Secondary level, and when the attention is turned to health care facilities, then there too the service has downgraded as medicines cannot be provided to the people.
