In an accident that occured this morning, one Alto car bearing registration number ML05 G 5516 overturned and fell into a cliff which is about 200 metres high. Inside the Alto car were the driver and one passenger identified as Pdianghun Shisha Lyngkhoi,a B.Ed faculty of the University of Science and Technology.
It was said that the accident occured at about 10:00 AM when the faculty was on her way to USTM to take her classes.
The reason which led to the accident is still unclear but it was informed that the faculty, Pdianghun Shisha Lyngkhoi, a resident of 7th Mile, Upper Shillong travels to work from Shillong only three times a week but today has met with the unfortunate accident in which the car where she and her driver were seated overturned and fell into the cliff. While the car was badly damaged, the passenger and driver sustained minor injuries. Pdianghun Shisha Lyngkhoi sustained minor injuries in parts of her head and with no requirements for hospitalisation, returned home.
