As per news sources, a few youths suspected of being drug addicts had planned on robbing items from Nongpoh Town Shopping Complex and iron water pipeline covers of the complex. The plan of the 3 youths was thwarted when the Manager of the complex caught them in an intoxicated state after which he informed the police who immediately came and took them into custody along with one autorickshaw.
This incident took place at about 2:00 PM today but the fortunate presence of the Manager of the complex culminated in the arrest of the youths suspected of being party to the robbery plan along with an autorickshaw having registration number ML10 C 2127 used by them.The driver of the autorickshaw however, managed to abscond.
