Shillong, September 2, 2024: During the 12th-anniversary celebration of the National People’s Party (NPP), Chief Minister and NPP President Conrad K Sangma addressed the criticism frequently directed at Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, particularly regarding his role as the Public Works Department (PWD) Minister.
Conrad Sangma acknowledged that many have criticized Prestone Tynsong, often speaking negatively about him. However, he emphasized that Prestone remains unfazed, choosing instead to focus on his work and the positive impact he can make. The Chief Minister highlighted that under Prestone Tynsong’s leadership, the state has witnessed significant developments in road infrastructure, with substantial investments being made to improve connectivity across Meghalaya.
Conrad urged the public to acknowledge the efforts and achievements of the current government, noting that while criticism is inevitable, the good work done by leaders like Prestone Tynsong should not be overlooked. He called for continued support for the initiatives that have positively impacted the state’s progress.
