Shillong, Sept 4: BJP leader and Cabinet Minister AL Hek expressed confidence that the party could secure up to 40 seats in the 2028 Meghalaya Assembly elections, adding that they are certain of winning at least 20–30 constituencies.
Hek, however, cautioned that victories in Meghalaya do not solely depend on party strength but also on the calibre and acceptability of individual candidates fielded by the party.
