Congress MLA, Bah Ronnie V Lyngdoh, stated that the Voice of the People Party’s (VPP) claim that he is not part of the opposition is akin to the VPP acting as if it is the Speaker itself. He pointed out that it is the Speaker’s responsibility to recognize him, whether as a member of the opposition or any other group. Bah Ronnie further criticized the VPP, saying that their statement suggests they are taking on the role of the Speaker in the assembly and are even interpreting the Tenth Schedule themselves, which shows that they are arrogant and possibly have no other work than to criticize others.
