The South West Khasi Hills District Congress Committee (DCC) has officially announced its candidates for the upcoming 2025 MDC elections. On December 21, 2024, the DCC introduced Bah Medal Singh Lyngdoh as the candidate for Mawkyrwat Constituency and Bah Pherdonnam Rngaid for Langrin Constituency.
The Ranikor Congress Committee (RCC) specifically recommended Bah Pherdonnam Rngaid from Nongkdait Nongnah, a close supporter of Martin M.M. Danggo, as the Langrin candidate.
District Congress Committee President Bah Kynpham Kharlyngdoh expressed strong confidence that the people of South West Khasi Hills would support the Congress candidates. He emphasized the public’s growing trust in the Congress as a national party capable of securing victories for both Bah Medal Singh Lyngdoh in Mawkyrwat and Bah Pherdonnam Rngaid in Langrin.
The party is optimistic about reclaiming its influence in the region during the upcoming elections.
