Jowai: Today the President of Seiñraij Jowai,O.R Challam in the presence of the Doloi of Elaka Jowai,Puramon Kynjing in a press conference expressed happiness at the chance to celebrate the religious festival of Behdeinkhlam with no restrictions because in the last two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Behdeinkhlam festival was held with restrictions in following the safety protocols of the Government in order to curb the spread of Covid-19.
The President of Seiñraij Jowai as well as the Doloi are filled with great happiness at being able to celebrate the Behdeinkhlam Festival again as it used to be celebrated before the pandemic. From their end,they have also invited everyone to come to be a part of the Behdeinkhlam Festival of Seiñraij Jowai.
The Behdeinkhlam Festival of Seiñraij Jowai which is one of the identified State Festival will begin on the 11th of July and end on the 14th of July this year.
Furthermore, the Behdeinkhlam Festival this year will also be part of the 75 Years of India’s Independence as well as the 50 Years of Meghalaya Statehood celebrations.
All fellow believers of the Niamtre religion and also all citizens of the State are invited to witness the Behdeinkhlam Festival 2022 to be held in Jowai city.
