We should not forget the contributions of our ancestors, says Pangniang


In the meeting of the HSPDP which was held yesterday when the memorial bust of ‘Maieid’ Hopingstone Lyngdoh was also unveiled, K.P Pangngiang, former MLA of Rambrai-Jyrngam who is also the President of the HSPDP Central Body in his speech said, ” A community which does not respect it’s great people and their contributions is a dead community.”

The memorial bust was erected in part to commemorate the 7th Death Anniversary of the great leader.

The memorial bust was installed in one of the popular tourists’ spots of the are known as Mawphanlur and it was said that the place was especially selected so that the tourists will know that the Khasi community had a great man who did much for his community
