SHILLONG, July 06: The Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Government, Droupadi Murmu arrived in Meghalaya to seek for support from the MLAs and MPs of the State for the Presidential election which will be held on the 18th of July.
The candidate of the NDA who is a tribal woman from Odisha spoke with the MLAs at a meeting held in Orchid Umïam, Ri-Bhoi District. In the meeting,Murmu was warmly welcomed by members of the BJP along with Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, with the Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad K.Sangma, the Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly,Metbah Lyngdoh, Rajya Sabha MP, Dr.W.R Kharlukhi and other representatives from different political parties in the State were also present.
