Mawkyrwat, June 16: One woman identified as Hailsentinari Marweiñ, 25 years of age died after she was swept away in a landslide in Jashiar, South West Khasi Hills District.
As per statements of relatives and neighbours in Jashiar village, the incident occurred at about 12 PM today the 16th of June due to the incessant rain which led to the landslide and the lady being buried under it while she was alone at home.
After the incident, the neighbours and relatives went searching for her and recovered her body from underneath the earth and immediately took her to CHC Mawkyrwat for treatment, however after some time of reaching the CHC Mawkyrwat, she passed away.
