SHILLONG, May 09: The National Vice President of the National People’s Party (NPP), Prestone Tynsong said that the NPP has its own principle, and will not throw stones at anyone either, but the principles of the party will be expressed on the electorate who are the people of the State.
With just about nine months for the State to go for Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Election, the entry and exit of leaders and the back and forth criticisms amongst the leaders of different political parties in the State have also begun.
Speaking with media persons, the leader of the NPP said that the NPP will not do anything to insult or allege anyone of anything, but it will show the truth before the voters, so that they will understand the basis of the party.
With regards to the claim that 250 NPP leaders have joined the UDP in Nongpoh, Ri-Bhoi District, Tynsong said that this claim is incorrect and the people who joined could have been members who falsely claimed to have been part of the NPP, while stating that if one is to go to Nongpoh one will find that there are still 2500 members in the NPP.
