Mawkyrwat, April 16: The Mawkyrwat District Sports Association (MDSA) through the Athletics Committee of the District has steadily made preparations in these past days to select the best male and female athletes to represent the South West Khasi Hills District at the Meghalaya Game 2022 which will be held from the 2nd to the 7th of May,2022 in Shillong.
At a press conference, the Working President of the Mawkyrwat District Sports Association (MDSA) Y.G.Lyngdoh expressed his special gratitude to the young athletes who within a short notice came forward to participate in the Selection Camp so that they can represent the District in different games and categories in Shillong.
He also said that the aim of the Selection Camp (SC) is to select the best make and female athletes to compete in the Meghalaya Games 2022 which will be held soon in Shillong, East Khasi Hills District. He also said that the coming forward of the young athletes in the SC is low in number because the information was also given in a short span of time, but even then the organisers have tried to inform each and every village.
The Mawkyrwat District Sports Association has extended its best wishes to all the young athletes who will be selected to represent the District at the Meghalaya Game 2022. He also urged that they show themselves and courteous so that there is no infamy later in and at the same time also urged all the departments under the Mawkyrwat Sports Association to inculcate a spirit of hard work by taking upon themselves the responsibility to carry out all the tasks with understanding and respect to each other so that the fruits of success, as well as honour, can be brought to the District as a whole.
