It is rather sad to hear the confessions of senior members from Malangkonna area which is one of the villages under Hima Nonglang Sirdarship West Khasi Hills District in which they confessed that the honourable Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad Kongkal Sangma paid no respect to the appeal that the village submitted to him before he left for New Delhi to sign the agreement with the Assam Government.
The confession was expressed by senior members of the area while speaking with media persons where Enosh G.Momin, Vice y of Malang Area Development Organisation (MaDo),Sorkhor Riangtem another senior member of the area and the people from the Garo community who all echoed loudly that no matter, what they will not go to Assam.
Adding to this they also further stated that this area has never been under any kind of dispute, but now as per the MoU, it is forcefully pushed to Assam even though the area is completely a part of Meghalaya, said the prominent members of the area.
