St.Anthony’s Secondary School, Jaidoh Nongstoiñ, West Khasi Hills District in part to expand the classrooms further for the senior students of the school, as a mark today laid a foundation stone for the construction of the Higher Secondary section.
The foundation stone was inaugurated by Mother General, Rev.Sr. Clara Vasanthi Congregation Society of Sisters of St.Anne Madras, in the presence of Fr.Wilbert Marweiñ, Parish Priest of Nonbah Parish, Nongstoiñ, Gabriel Wahlang,MDC of Nongstoiñ constituency, Lata Syiemlieh, DSEO, WKHD, Sr.Amala Sabrina, Headmistress of St.Anthony’s Secondary School, Jaidoh, Sr. Ester, Superior, prominent members of the area including the Headmen, Church Elders and others.
It was said that the new school building for the Higher Secondary section is funded by the congregation of the Sisters known as the Congregation Society of Sisters of St.Anne, Madras.
The function was held in the compound of the school and in part to make the function more lively and entertaining, dance performances from students of the school was also witnessed together by the students and parents of the school students and others.
