ADHOC TEACHERS CANNOT BE REGULARISED AS DEFICIT, PROCESS TO EXAMINE HOW MUCH SALARIES CAN BE RAISED ONGOING: RYMBUI

HEADLINES

SHILLONG, March 31: The Minister in-charge of the Department of Education, Lahkmen Rymbui clearly stated that the Government has no intention of regularising Adhoc teachers who are in the midst of agitation under the banner of the Federation of All School Teachers of Meghalaya (FASTOM) to deficit teachers.

He said that just as he had stated in the Budget Session which concluded just recently, the Government is in the process of examining the expenses in connection with the raise in the salaries of Adhoc teachers, while also appealing to the teachers to understand what the Government is doing for them.

It may be reminded that the teachers under the Federation of All School Teachers of Meghalaya (FASTOM) have been organising agitations upto this day to demand their dues and they have also threatened to intensify their agitations in April if the Government cannot actualise their demands
