Shillong: The police of the city arrested two persons involved in looting and shooting two employees of the Mawkhanu Service Station with a pistol in an incident which occured on the 19th of November,2021 at 9:00 PM.
In the incident, the dacoits fled with ₹2 lakhs cash from the petrol pump.
The arrested persons include Barabor Nam-Saw aka Kyrshan Makri from Police Bazaar and from his possession was seized a motor bike with registration number AS01 BH 5342 which was used in the looting of the petrol pump and the other is Bhai Jar Warbah from Mawkasianh and his possession was seized a Maruti Alto car with registration number ML10 C 5608.
However, it is reported that Barabor Namsaw fled from the police station on the 8th of this month and in connection to this a case has been registered against him.
In a tireless pursuit yesterday, the police of Sadar Police Station arrested Barabor Namsaw and Khraw Shylla from Nongmynsong over the accusation of their involvement in stealing motorbikes all over the city.
Till the time of this report, the police are conducting a thorough investigation on this matter.
