The leaders of the FKJGP today were summoned by the police of Sadar Police Station following their action in conducting a search operation and apprehending non-tribals.
The summon of the FKJGP leaders comes after the incident which took place yesterday,the 22nd of March at around 8:00 and 8:30 in the morning, in which 14-15 non-tribal youths stopped a scooty and started assaulting the riders of this scooty.
Speaking with the leaders of the FKJGP, it was informed that one of their members who happened to pass through the area on his way to his work place which is in one shop in Demseiniong area, witnessed the assault on these Khasi riders and went to help them, but in the process he too was assaulted.
On receiving the information about this incident, the members of the FKJGP conducted a search for the group of non-tribals involved in the assault and they caught one and took him to the office of the organisation and to continue for the search of others still not caught.
It is said that some filed an FIR against the organisation, and the FKJGP from their end will not retract but will move forward as the law cannot do anything on this matter and the FKJGP will take the step to continue searching for the non-tribals involved.
