CRC SHILLONG EXTENTS HELP TO 130 STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES

The Composite Regional Centre for Skills Development Rehabilitation and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, CRC Shillong, today distributed ADIP TLM Kits to 130 students with disabilities.

The gathering to distribute these equipments to the students was held at U Soso Tham Auditorium in the presence of Ram Rakesh Sahani who is the Assistant Professor, Special Education, and Officer-in-charge, CRC, Shillong, Sabrella B. Marak who is the Commissioner for persons with disabilities, Dikki D. Shira who is the Director of Social Welfare and this gathering was conducted by Iness K. Warshong who is the CBR in-charge & Physiotherapist, CRC Shillong.

Speaking on this day, Dikki D.Shira said that this help extended by the CRC will benefit the students with disabilities especially those from the economically weaker sections.

Furthermore, he said that the Government will start imparting training and teaching methods which areas in keeping with the present modern age for students with disabilities who are up to 18 years of age, and the Government will be able to further improve on the means of helping the needy.
