Shillong: Today the team of athletes from the Meghalaya Athlete Association under Benningstar Lyngkhoi as coach-cum-manager, left the city to participate in the 52nd National Cross Country Championship to be held in Kohima,Nagaland on the 26th of this month.
The names of the athletes representing the state in this competition are Kresstarjune Pathaw, Jomsingstar Ramsiej, Mikhel Ramsiej, Hepstarly Lyngkhoi, Danial Lyngdoh Wahlang, Okitlang Syiemlieh.
Before this team left the city, a small send off ceremony to wish the best to team was held which was attended by the Working President of the Meghalaya State Olympic Association, John F.Kharshiing along with the Treasurer of MSOA, Ksan Warjri and in the presence also of the Secretary of the MAA, Finely L.Pariat in the Ground of the J.N Stadium, Polo.
