Mawkyrwat: The MLA of Mawkyrwat constituency, Renikton Lyngdoh Tongkhar who is also the PHE Minister in the State Government distributed CGI sheets to 250 households funded through the Chief Minister Housing Assistance Program (CMHAP), in the presence of the BDO of Mawkyrwat, I.Lawrynniang.
This time, the CGI sheets were distributed to about 240 households that is 3 bands for each household, in which about 100 households were beneficiaries today and for the rest, the same will be distributed again on the 2nd of March,2022.
At the brief gathering held today at the Office of the C&RD Block Mawkyrwat were also present the BDO, I.Lawrynniang, J.Nongsiej, elders, public and beneficiaries of the scheme.
In his speech at the brief gathering, Renikton Lyngdoh Tongkhar said that he really yearns to bring about many changes and he no longer wants to hear of or see poverty in Mawkyrwat area and altogether in Meghalaya.
Tongkhar also extended his best wishes to the public so that they may continue to grow in all their endeavours and hopes that the reception of these CGI sheets will serve as a blessing especially for the economically weak households who face many hardships and their selection as beneficiaries has been made specifically so that the rightful beneficiaries in need may get the CGI sheets through the Chief Minister Housing Assistance Programme.
