MADAM AMPAREEN DOES NOT WANT A MINISTERIAL BERTH, NO SHUFFLING OF CABINET MINISTERS IN THE MDA: CONRAD

HEADLINES

SHILLONG, February 22: The Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad Kongkal Sangma denied the news report claiming Dasakhiatbha Lamare to be removed as Minister to accommodate the same to Dr.M.Ampareen Lyngdoh, while also clearly stating that there is no such move to shuffle the berths of Cabinet Ministers following the support extended by the 5 Congress MLAs to the MDA Government.

It may pointed that following the support extended by the 5 Congress MLAs, the Government awarded 4 Congress MLAs with the posts of Co-Chairman, while the leader of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP), Dr.M.Ampareen Lyngdoh on the other hand was not given any kind of post or responsibility.

On being asked about it today, Sangma said that the Government will deliberate on which post may be given to Dr.M.Ampareen Lyngdoh and also said that even though no post has been alloted to her as yet, Madam Ampareen had expressed that she is fine with working in any capacity in order to benefit and fully support the Government and a ministerial berth is not the prime focus for Congress leaders.
