SHILLONG, January 24: The local public yesterday marched down to the office of Pynroilang Women Association to find out the reasons for not receiving any dividends from the money they had saved with them for more than 3 years.
As per statements of the people who had saved their money with Pynroilang, the people would deposit their money through the agents, but when they wanted to take out the money they had deposited, the managers or administrators of the establishment would not release the money by stating that the money had not arrived yet which has caused a lot of fury amongst the people against the managers for having no sympathy for the needs of the many especially those from the rural areas.
Speaking with a few women, they stated that every month and every week, they would deposit their money in this office carrying along with them their passbooks but when they wanted to take out their money, they were told that their money had not arrived yet even though the women would go and enquire from time to time.
The public who are furious over this action of Pynroilang Women Association has given the manager of the establishment till the 27th of this month to pay them all their dues but the manager has informed that the money has not arrived yet and it will take some time for them to receive the money they had deposited.
