Two weeks after he left home for work, this morning the relatives of one person identified as Sebestian Wardkhar, 52 years of age and a resident of Umran Dairy, recovered his dead body from Umran river in a decomposed state. The dead body was first noticed by a few youths who had visited the river for leisure and upon noticing the lifeless body, informed the local village authorities who then came to the spot to identify the deceased person.
The crowd that had gathered at the spot identified the deceased person as a resident of Umran Dairy from his slippers and cap.
As per the statement of the younger sister of Sebestian Wardkhar,her brother had left home early for work on the 2nd but he never returned home and no complaint was filed from their end even when he did not return home for several days because he would usually not come back home whenever he found work in distant places and it is only till today that they found his dead body from the river.
The local village authorities after identifying the deceased informed the Police of Umsning who rushed to the spot for further investigation and to complete the necessary formalities.
