SHILLONG, October 05 : Senior party leader of National People’s Party and also Deputy Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Shri Prestone Tynsong evoked the people to not allow the ‘thlen’ or avarice and covetousness devour the khasi community by reminding all of the old age khasi saying that the ‘thlen’ only devours Khasis. Tynsong said this while talking about the threat of the proscribed outfit Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council against NPP party workers.
While talking at a meeting in Mawphlang today, Prestone Tynsong said that there have been threats to NPP workers and he therefore feels the need to put a question to the people who have issued the threats as to why they do not feel a sense of pride that Conrad Sangma is the National President, a sense of pride that Prestone Tynsong is the National Vice-President?
He also said that all morning there have been many that expressed fear and unrest but he spoke to them to be resilient and without fear to move forward in serving the community,the indigenous people that is a minority all over the country.
On this day, the NPP leader called to the people to join the party,as NPP is a party recognised as a national party and with a heavy heart he also urged the people to stand united for the upliftment of the community as well as the state. Tynsong further expressed that perhaps there are some who do not wish to see a party from Meghalaya partake in the politics in Delhi.
