SHILLONG, September 28: The High Level Committee constituted to shift the residents of Sweeper Lane, Iew Mawlong today submitted the complete report to the state government after which the Cabinet Ministers of the Government will take a decision.
It may pointed out that on the 31st of May 2018, trouble erupted in Sweeper Lane which affected the peace and quiet all over the state after which the Government constituted the High Level Committee to find ways to alleviate the problems in the place, especially after demands to shift the residents of the lane became prominent.
The Chairman of HLC and also Deputy Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Shri Prestone Tynsong said that the government will peruse the report of the HLC in detail after which the Cabinet Ministers will take a decision.
On being asked about the report, Prestone refused to comment on the report and said that it is now the government that will take the decision.
